Whats the difference between Coolsculpting & Cryo T-Shock in Colorado Springs?

Updated: Dec 15, 2022

When it comes to Cryoslimming, there are a few different options to help people achieve the figure they’ve always wanted. The Colorado Springs area offers both CoolSculpting and Body Sculpting services, but sometimes people don’t really know which option they should go for. So what is the difference between these two procedures, and how does that affect you?

If you want results and natural procedures are important to you, Cryo T-Shock is the ultimate choice. Both machines offer cryolipolysis, a medical treatment used to destroy fat cells by freezing. That being said, CoolSculpting uses a vacuum-like device during the treatment session. This solid block applies suction to the treatment area, sucking up excess fat and then you are left alone for roughly 45 minutes. This method of treatment leaves your skin with what looks like a stick of “lard” where the applicator was placed. More often than not, the rectangle that’s left in your skin may not actually break down and flush out of your system. This hardened block of compressed dead fat cells, known as PAH, is typically removed with liposuction.

This body-conturing procedure is designed for people who want to get rid of stubborn fat in certain spots of the body, and are within 30 pounds of their recommended body weight. Results from Cool Sculpting can take upwards of three months to see a difference.

CoolSculpting Colorado Springs Costs

This method is estimated at an average fee between $2,000 to $4,000 per treatment, and that depends on the area of the body being treated. The smaller the area, the lower the cost. Factors include areas being treated, where you live, your provider, and any follow-up appointments you might need.

For example, Arms are priced around $650 per arm ($1300 for both) for a 35 minute session. Stomach, the most common treatment, is estimated at $1500 per session, with some providers recommending 2 treatments for this area. That area usually lasts 35-60 minutes. If you want a thigh treatment, it’ll last you 35 minutes and cost around $1500 per outer thigh and $750 per inner thigh, equaling $4000+ for both legs.

In most cases, you only need on treatment per area, which is great at those estimated prices. Unfortunately if you are in need of a second treatment, the waiting time is several months apart to give the body enough time to react naturally, and dispose of the fat cells organically. Usually, clients will see a reduction of fat cells by 20 percent after a few months.

Cryo T-Shock Therapy

Body Sculpting with Cryo T-Shock is Nuwave Cryotherapy’s choice when it comes to helping people look and feel their best. Most women have cellulite, which, for the most part, cannot be eliminated through diet and exercise. With the T-Shock, fatty deposits are reduced by using thermal shock. By alternating warm and cold treatments directly to the skin, blood vessels in a localized area are constricted. The reduction of fat with the preservation of surrounding non-fat tissue offers a more dramatic firming effect.

The purpose of the treatment is to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. It is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 and 17 C which causes these cells to die. The cells are then naturally passed through the body’s lymphatic system and excreted through sweat and urine.

Cryo T-Shock uses a hand-held wand that applies both heat and cold initiating thermal shock to the fat cells. This treatment is proven to be more effective, and is a service that can be done 10-14 days apart depending how quickly your lymphatic system flows. Although PAH is possible with both machines, there is a significantly lower risk factor with the T-Shock solely due to the hands-on massage technique used with the wand. PAH is caused by a static hold of extreme cold temperatures to one isolated area for too long, so with a practitioner doing the freeze with a hand-held device, the risk is of PAH is very minimal compared to similar services, such as the suction-device used during CoolSculpting.

The body contouring treatments last for roughly 30 minutes and are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold (22-26 minutes) and then back to heat for another 2-3 minutes

Not only does this type of treatment help get rid of fatty cells, it also helps fight the dreaded skin sag from aging. Reversing the effects is easy, using the shock of alternating between cold and hot therapies. It triggers the deep layers of collagen back into production. The plumpness and firmness is not achievable with other non-invasive techniques. For facials, the T-Shock comes stock with a coupling device for precise treatments to smooth out wrinkles and blemishes to create a tighter skin appearance immediately after treatment. The results are even more profound after 4-8 sessions, with clients reporting more youthful looking skin, as well as a reduction of puffiness around the eyes and smaller pore size appearance.

Fat reduction treatments can be performed once every 14 days and lifting treatments can be performed every 7 days. There is a physiological reason for this: when apoptosis occurs and some fat cells die, waste is formed. This will be eliminated by natural routes (blood, lymphatic system, and urine). Metabolism must, therefore, be allowed to evacuate this waste without overloading the system.

The cost of Cryo T-Shock is three times less than Coolsculpting costs in Colorado Springs. On average, a medium to large package deal (5-10 sessions) with the Cryo T-Shock can run the same amount as a single Cool Sculpting session. NuWave Cryotherapy offers sessions starting at $399, and if you buy a five-session package, you save $500 and get an extra session for free.
